Must be a current participant of the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program or of the Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program. Developer needed to design, develop, deploy, and deliver intricate projects, ensuring they meet business needs. This role involves designing and building new features, enhancements, and maintenance solutions, as well as implementing supporting processes and technologies for the core - Ticketing Management System. Key Responsibilities: Maintain existing solutions and work autonomously to drive improvements. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and issues. Continuously identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Work as a subject matter expert on the end-to-end system design and operations within. Working closely with the Architects and cross functional teams to ensure overall architecture and design are aligned with Industry’s best practices. Good interpersonal skills and good communication skills are required, including the discipline to document decisions and architectural approaches. Experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, developing restful API’s for web applications. Expertise in design patterns, and experience with middleware/messaging technologies such as MQ, Kafka and exposure to event-driven design patterns. Experience developing scalable, high-availability systems with disaster recovery. What we’re looking for... You’ll need to have: Must be a current participant of the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program or of the Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program. Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Three or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience. Proven experience in software development using languages such as Java, Python or similar. Understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks. Experience with database systems and SQL. Knowledge of secure coding principles and best practices (OWASP, SANS). Familiarity with security testing tools and techniques (static analysis, dynamic analysis, penetration testing). Even better if you have one or more of the following: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Familiarity with DevOps tools (Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, JIRA). DoD Clearance Industry certifications such as Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) or similar.
